"BOOT" and the words "Blade" descriptions are just want to tell you what they are. Boot is made from leather vinyl has only and has a logo on the side. Razor is what you see. This is a good quality knife for your level. To care for your skates for some things you need. Soakers (terry cloth blade covers), Hard Guards, Boot covers (if you want) and a bag perform them in the first off, do not you leave your skates in hard covers. Blades can rust at the time you take to get home. Trust me, I learned the hard way ... You use the hard covers for walking around rink, walking in your home (for their violation), and this is about. Covers are soft to maintain your skates. Never walk on your cover soft, they will rip! After every skating session take a cloth or tissue and burke razor and boot. Then put on your soft covers, this will to absorb any additional moisture. Info same I gave you to break in skates on your other question can basically be applied to this. It is the only thing I do not know if this is an initial boot or not so you can get a little more than boot other. What told not store knife sharpening after the purchase is right and wrong. Blade comes with a razor factory. This means that it can not be as strong as you want. When I bought my skates I have stressed them, but you can do what you want. Good luck!
