'S Motor clutch lever royally effed. HELP!?
I drive an 82 Yamaha virago XV750. I do not know what I did, but it is bad. Today I went to fire it. The motorcycle parked outside I tried to move down in Neutral first and then start it. It will not fall into the first no matter how often or how difficult it began shift lever. Nor can I drop it into neutral from second. It just will not go. Then I hopped off the bike, clutch lever squeezed as hard as I could, and jammed down on the pedal with my full weight. Now the clutch lever would not return to center and I can not move it at all. It's like dragging through the sand. What the heck did I do? How can I fix this? What caused the original problem? the possible effects of cause - New Clutch Cable, knocked bike week the past and this trend shift lever. I am a handy guy and have certain problems with this bike, but now I afraid I have to brave the ultimate test of wrencher weekend and pull the engine to get all except in the case my crank. Suggestions?
I do not speak Japanese, but it definitely sounds like you need to buy a service manual & FIRST READ it before you go taking things apart that you can not get back together again. A call to the local PRO can not be a bad ideas or issues you definitely have some serious problems if they are clutch, or tranny itself.
